A Beautiful Pink Baby!

I am happy to be sending out love, congratulations and best wishes to Daryl and Robert on the arrival of their little girl, Claudia Eva Jean!

Daryl and Robert came down to Emily Murphy Park in Edmonton, during my Betrothed and Beautiful photography sessions a few weeks ago. Daryl was quite literally due any day, but we had a great laugh (I had a baby 5 months ago so we traded 'how to go in labour NOW!' stories) and made poor Rob do all of the repositioning. Daryl was an absolute trooper and did everything I asked. Maternity Photography is so much fun, it just normally occurs much earlier than the 'Due Any Minute' stage. I think she was a little suspect that I might make her try to climb a tree. So I did it instead. Did you hear me? I Amy Donovan, climbed a tree. Being that I am a photographer and never ever, not even once claimed to be an athelete, I think it might have been my very first time!

Anyway, thanks for coming out guys! I am glad you chose me to be your maternity photographer! I can't wait to meet baby Claudia and to be her photographer too!

Hailey and Baby!

It was beyond hot today when Hailey arrived to do her maternity pictures. And when I say beyond... I mean it. We were both sweating before the camera came out! Undeterred the little trooper posed for her pictures and then we headed outdoors for some fun. It was jus too hot to stay inside!

We headed to Edmonton's Rundle Park and waded in the water to cool off. It was a great chance to get some awesome relaxed shots of Hailey!

Oh Baby!

At the risk of exposing too much of my belly on the internet, I do have to send a big thank-you to my friend Beth. Realizing that my pregnant belly had reached epic proportions and that I have totally run out of room, she spent an afternoon snapping photos of me. Beth is the owner/photographer of ENV Photography in Edmonton, and has been one of my best friends since our misadventures in high school! If anyone was going to convince me into a bubble bath to display my huge belly it would have been her. Of course, the bathtub exploits are a little more risque than I choose to display for the world to see, but I can see how she does an awesome job with all of her boudoir photography shoots!

I am posting a few photos here for family, friends and blog fans to see...please be kind and keep in mind that this is of course a record setting sized baby who I am sure is riding a tricycle around in my belly!
