Squishiest baby in Edmonton gets the flu!

Poor Bridget is sicky-poo. My normally very happy go lucky squishy baby is not herself at all. After her nine month check up with the fabulous Dr. Dansereau at the Pediclinic in Edmonton, she got a case of the sniffles. Which has escalated to a bad cough, a yucky nose and a very sooky squishbabe. Back to Dr. Dansereau for assurances there were no infections invading her little ears and my heart is a little lighter.

I have been close to home since she has come down with this, and I look forward to shooting the Porras Family's portraits again tomorrow. In the meantime, I have been looking through some baby photos of baby Bridget from the past month or so and thought I might share some. Baby B's 9 monthiversay is on Thursday, and I sure hope she is feeling up to having some portraits taken in the snow! Edmonton has an amazing Christmas lights display at the Alberta Legislature and I can't wait to do some portraits there!

Check back to see them, in the meantime check out other fun Edmonton family and children's portraits here!

Miss Rodeo Wainwright

I had an unbelievably great time with Candace Weder- Miss Rodeo Wainwright yesterday. We went to Fort Edmonton Park (my favorite place in Edmonton) to shoot some head shots for her Miss Rodeo Canada competition. Along the way we had a great time!

I had a great day hanging out with you Candace! Even if we did scare the daylights out of the poor man at the gun range. Normally when doing a photo 'shoot', its me doing all the shooting! Thanks again for a great day!

Brand new baby!

Congratulations to Herb and Hailey, who just were graced with the arrival of their beautiful baby boy! I shot Hailey's maternity pictures a couple of weeks back so I was super excited when she arrived this morning with baby Herbie in tow. I couldn't wait to get snapping on him - he is only a week old!

Oh Baby!

At the risk of exposing too much of my belly on the internet, I do have to send a big thank-you to my friend Beth. Realizing that my pregnant belly had reached epic proportions and that I have totally run out of room, she spent an afternoon snapping photos of me. Beth is the owner/photographer of ENV Photography in Edmonton, and has been one of my best friends since our misadventures in high school! If anyone was going to convince me into a bubble bath to display my huge belly it would have been her. Of course, the bathtub exploits are a little more risque than I choose to display for the world to see, but I can see how she does an awesome job with all of her boudoir photography shoots!

I am posting a few photos here for family, friends and blog fans to see...please be kind and keep in mind that this is of course a record setting sized baby who I am sure is riding a tricycle around in my belly! To check out more pictures, you can view Beth's website at http://www.envphotography.com/

6 week countdown!

It would appear that I have fallen down on the job of maintaining an upto date Blog! I am very sorry. Who would ever have known that growing a baby could be so much work! I am pleased to say that the future Bridget Annastaisia Reynolds should be arriving anytime in the next 6 weeks!

All of these pregnancy hormones have made me a little primal I believe! The ancient urge to hunt and gather has come over me in an overwhelming way! Hunting out the cutest outfits, the most fun baby swing and the safest carseat. Then you can never forget the gathering of all of these items...trips to Toys R Us and Sears and the like will not leave you (or the poor man who has to carry of your conquests to the car, and subsequently assemble them...) emptyhanded! Retailers rarely disappoint!

Of course we can never forget the 2 lovely baby showers that friends held in my honor. Thanks to Sheena and to Beth. Both of whom opened their homes and hearts to both host showers-one for friends and one for co-workers. The baby buying bug clearly had bit the guests. The only thing I think I need after all of the excitement would be more closet space!

I am getting very excited as I embark on the 6 week countdown. Friends and clients who are accustomed to the amount of time I spend shooting photos while laying on my belly on the floor or rolling around with small children to get fun shots would laugh at the site of trying to get up off the couch! It's really a very exciting time!
