This morning I put my feet on the ground with a very long to do list waiting for me. I had to go to Staples, pick up prints, do some framing, visit with Kerry from Bride on a Budget, and possibly, if all went well, grab a large double double out of the window at a Tim Horton's Drive Thru.
Then poor Bridget woke up.
She has been sick with a cough, runny nose, fever, and all of the other things that happen when you are sick, for over a week. We have visited the Stollery Children's Hospital and were assured that all was fine. This morning she added lethargic to the list. Poor baby just lay there, eyes open, looking at me. She wasn't even crying. After 7 days of crying because she is sick (and getting 4 top teeth all at once), one might think the quiet would be welcomed. This was scary. She didn't want to play, cuddle, eat or drink. She even let us dress her without a wrestling match and sweat stains on our shirts.
Thank goodness for having a great pediatrician. Dr. Dansereau got her in right away and we discovered she had an ear infection. With that terrible cough and the fact that I currently have pneumonia she was concerned that Bridget might have it as well. We headed off for a chest x-ray. If anyone ever gets told they would like a chest x-ray, I don't advise it. Poor Bridget screamed whole heartedly when they put her in the tube that holds her arms up. Even the technician tasked with strapping her in described the device as 'archaic.' It was a bad 15 minutes in Bridget's life.
The good news is that it didn't take too long to do the x-ray, and it did show she does not have pneumonia.
The other good news is that I have all day tomorrow to accomplish what was on my to-do list for today. I have to rearrange some things though - I fully intend to get my morning coffee in the morning. I missed out on one today.
I did get a little spring fever with the nice weather today and took a minute to rewallpaper my website! Check out the Edmonton weddings and portraits you love in a lighter and brighter website! It almost makes me want to put my sandals on! Be sure to comment and let me know what you think of the site! Lets hope we get the weather to match in the very near future.
Squishy baby is sound asleep now and as beautiful as ever. Thanks Dr. Dansereau, you are the best!
