So I have bunches of family photos left to do from before I left Edmonton for my vacation and I am still working on them. However, I knew I loved this photo the instant I took it! I just had to share.
Karen and I have been friends since we both worked at Reitman's, many moons ago. We were both in University, on the safe side of broke, living with roommates and in love with our morning coffee. Lots of things have changed (except the coffee). We have both since settled down with great fellas, and she is about to marry hers!
Rob is great! I met him when we went out to do some engagement photos of them in Downtown St. John's on Saturday.
Despite gale force (not an exaggeration) we managed to take shelter in hotel courtyards and a George Street Pub. Once we were safe with the photos I needed for the photo guest book for her wedding, we braved Cuckolds Cove.
Yes. Cuckolds Cove. I would pay money for an explanation of what a Cuckold is and how it came to have a Cove. A free photo shoot to the person with the most logical awnser!
It was magnificent up on top of the cliff overlooking the water, with all of the fall foliage in the background. Despite my being afraid of heights, falling from heights and the general wildlife populous, I think we made out OK. I miss having the ocean as a backdrop.
I hope you love the picture of Karen as much as I do. I will post more as soon as I get everyone of my lovely Edmonton family sessions completed! They are on their way!
In the meantime, check out some recent family photos sessions here!

What a great picture!! Karen you are beautiful.
As for a Cuckold... it's a man whose wife is cheating on him, and as is often the case he is the last too know.
I think that definition makes Cuckold's cove an ironic place for engagement and wedding photos...but it is beautiful...
So how much do you owe me....and of course I knew that I grew up in cuckolds cove

oh and the cove is named after a sailor whose wife was sleeping around on him while he was at sea...;)
Amy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE it. It is fantastic and I can't believe that you managed to capture it at about the only moment my hair wasn't blowin a gale!
We both had so much fun, and can't thank you enough. The session was tease enough....but now I REALLY can't wait to see the rest of the pics! Thanks again. xoxoxxoxo
